This role is ideal for someone with strong accrual accounting experience who is comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting internal controls, and ensuring smooth accounting operations across our business and subsidiaries. You will also support accounting transitions and integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.

We are open to candidates at both the Accountant and Senior Accountant levels, depending on experience and ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accrual-based bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Own and support the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries for intercompany and subsidiary transactions.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities.

• Manage accounting activities related to commissions, expenses, accruals, and other operational transactions.

• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and support the development of effective internal accounting controls.

• Support accounting integration and financial transitions related to mergers and acquisitions.

• Identify opportunities to streamline month-end close processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting.

• Partner with internal leadership, including finance and credit risk teams, to support operational and financial needs.

• Assist with pro forma financial analysis, financial planning, and other ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

• Take ownership of accounting processes and ensure continuity during business transitions.

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Senior Accountant level.

• Strong hands-on experience with accrual-based accounting and bookkeeping is required.

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.

• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.

• Ability to understand and interpret P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.

• Experience managing accounting operations independently or taking ownership of multiple accounting functions.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple entities or subsidiaries.

• Background in small or medium-sized businesses, startups, or public accounting.

• Experience supporting M&A transactions, accounting integrations, or business transitions.

• Experience with commission accounting, internal controls, and accounting process improvements.

• Demonstrated ability to improve or accelerate month-end close processes.
