Amazon Autos is reinventing how people discover, research, and buy cars. Programmatic advertising through the Amazon DSP (ADSP) is one of our most important awareness and demand-generation channels, connecting high-intent car shoppers to the Amazon Autos experience across display, online video, and streaming TV at the moments that matter most. The ADSP channel is how we show up programmatically to drive qualified traffic, maximize channel efficiency, and improve the shopper experience end to end.
We are seeking a hands-on, highly analytical Marketing Manager to manage the Amazon DSP channel for Amazon Autos. This is a true channel-manager role: you will help shape the channel strategy, manage and pace a significant media budget, and run the day-to-day setup, pacing, and optimization of our programmatic campaigns. You will be actively managing campaigns in the Amazon Ads / DSP interface, with deep expertise in how to structure, optimize, and scale campaigns and extract the best possible results from every lever the platform offers. The role requires a highly analytical mindset and a curiosity to seek out new possibilities. You will read performance both at a top-line channel level and granularly within the campaign structure, and understand how this translates to on-platform performance. You will balance the art and science of advertising, with deep strength on the technical side of marketing as well as the creative and experimental side, consistently using one to inform the other. You will be accountable for your channel's day-to-day performance, applying learnings across campaigns and audiences, partnering with more senior colleagues on larger or more ambiguous bets and constantly looking for new ways to experiment as Amazon Autos helps blaze a trail within Amazon Ads.
The successful candidate will think strategically and execute rigorously. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You will anticipate and remove bottlenecks, make tradeoffs with limited guidance, and balance business needs against constraints. You will dive into performance data, incremental business impact, and budget pacing for your channel, which requires strong analytical skills. You Earn Trust with your stakeholders, including but not limited to the Amazon Ads team, Product team, Reporting & Analytics partners, and other lines of business.
Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategy for the Amazon DSP channel and manage a significant, growing programmatic media budget, collaborating with the marketing team, internal Amazon Ads counterparts, and external agencies on larger allocation decisions
- Own day-to-day setup, management, and optimization of ADSP campaigns, hands-on in the Amazon Ads / DSP interface
- Drive performance through continuous optimization (bidding, budget pacing, audience and inventory strategy, and campaign structure) at both a top-line and granular level on the ad platform and in the total traffic funnel
- Design, launch, and read out A/B tests to improve channel efficiency and inform new campaign strategy
- Manage brand lift and creative lift studies to inform future optimizations
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics; troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues, ad-serving errors, and reporting discrepancies
- Conduct creative performance analysis and deliver clear, data-backed feedback to the creative team to strengthen future ads
- Help develop and scale our presence in emerging programmatic surfaces and new ADSP capabilities
- Translate performance data into actionable insights and concise business recommendations, refining them with senior colleagues; generate detailed reports and present findings
- Partner with Supply and Product teams, surfacing feedback that helps inform improvements to Amazon DSP offerings
- Support channel budget planning and OP1/OP2 inputs by scoping spend, flagging efficiency opportunities, and helping recommend where to invest next
A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing performance across your ADSP campaigns (pacing, spend, and conversion trends) and making optimizations directly in the Amazon DSP interface. Mid-morning you might dig into a line item that's underperforming, restructure audiences or adjust bids, and set up an A/B test to validate a new approach. After lunch, you're analyzing creative performance and pulling together feedback for the creative team on what's resonating and what isn't. Later in the week, you might build a readout on channel performance, size an opportunity in a new programmatic surface, and work with your manager on where to invest next. The work moves constantly between hands-on execution and deep analysis, and you'll always have multiple campaigns and tests in flight.
