At Lakeshore, every decision we make connects back to one thing: getting great learning materials into the hands of educators, families, and kids. As a Consumer Sales Strategy Manager on our Sales Operations team, you'll turn market signals, customer data, and competitive insights into clear recommendations that shape how we grow — and you'll work alongside teams across the company to help those recommendations actually land. If you like building with data, digging into the 'why' behind sales trends and translating what you find into action, this role was built for you.
A day on the job looks like this:
• Analyze customer behavior, sales performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to develop insights and recommendations that sharpen our go-to-market approach.
• Support the development and execution of eProcurement sales initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve end-user engagement and align program activity with broader business goals.
• Build and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and presentation materials that give leadership a clear, current picture of performance and priorities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams — including Retail, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and others — to gather input, share findings, and keep key initiatives moving forward.
• Manage workstreams within larger strategic projects, tracking progress, flagging risks, and keeping stakeholders informed through organized, concise communication.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and briefings, handling sensitive data and business information with care and discretion.
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
Required:
• 3–5 years of experience in sales strategy, analytics, consumer insights, or a closely related business role.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior audiences.
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Experience and comfort working with data sets and across multiple analytics tools and platforms
• Experience with eProcurement portals or B2B sales processes.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, math or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with customer segmentation methods or sales performance frameworks.
• Experience working in a retail, education, or consumer products environment.
What sets you apart:
• You make complexity simple — whether you're building a slide for the SVP or explaining a data trend to a cross-functional partner, your communication lands clearly the first time.
• You connect dots others miss, drawing links between customer signals, market shifts, and internal priorities to surface insights that actually move the needle.
• You stay organized without losing the big picture, managing multiple workstreams while keeping an eye on what matters most to the business.
And here’s our end of the bargain!
