Join us as an Operations Risk & Controls (Third Party Governance Lead) to take your risk and governance career to the next level with a global market leader.

Make your mark in Operations Risk & Controls

Our Operations Risk & Controls team plays a critical role in strengthening AIG's operational resilience and risk management framework. By overseeing third-party governance and outsourcing risk management activities, the team helps ensure regulatory compliance, effective risk oversight, and strong operational performance across the organization.

This role will lead the execution and oversight of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program in-country. You will work closely with business owners, corporate functions, and regional stakeholders to manage third-party risks throughout the vendor lifecycle while ensuring compliance with AIG policies and local regulatory requirements.

How you will create an impact

• Lead the execution of the in-country Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program in accordance with AIG policies, standards, and local regulatory requirements.

• Maintain and enhance third-party governance standards, processes, inventories, and reporting to support effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate end-to-end third-party lifecycle activities, including risk assessments, due diligence, onboarding, contracting, ongoing monitoring, and termination planning.

• Facilitate materiality assessments and risk evaluations, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation plans are established for risks that fall outside AIG's risk appetite.

• Ensure third-party due diligence and governance requirements are completed, documented, and approved prior to onboarding.

• Monitor third-party performance, contractual obligations, service levels, key risk indicators, and compliance requirements, escalating issues where necessary.

• Track and oversee remediation of third-party risks, incidents, audit findings, and compliance gaps to ensure timely resolution.

• Support regulatory reporting, audits, and governance reviews related to outsourcing and third-party service providers.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on third-party governance requirements, risk management practices, and outsourcing obligations.

• Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Internal Audit, and business teams to ensure effective oversight of third-party relationships.

• Prepare management reporting and dashboards covering third-party risks, compliance status, vendor performance, and governance metrics.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance third-party risk management processes, controls, tools, and operational effectiveness.

• Promote awareness and understanding of third-party risk management responsibilities through stakeholder engagement and training.

• Support broader Operations Risk & Controls initiatives across Asia Pacific as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in Third Party Risk Management, Outsourcing Governance, Operational Risk, Controls, Compliance, Audit, or a related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of third-party and outsourcing risk management practices, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.

• Experience managing third-party lifecycle activities, including risk assessments, due diligence, monitoring, and issue remediation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks, identify control gaps, and recommend practical solutions.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across a highly matrixed organization.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business units, corporate functions, and senior stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

• Ability to challenge constructively, manage conflict professionally, and drive outcomes through collaboration and influence.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
