Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

We are looking for an experienced Staff / Principal Global Business Partner (GBP) to partner with site leadership.

This is a senior HR business partnering role for an individual who can operate at both strategic and operational depth, translating business priorities into organization, workforce and talent strategies while staying closely connected to leaders and teams at the point of operations.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing strong business acumen, independent judgment and people expertise to complex organizational decisions. The role requires someone who can see around corners, connect signals across the organization and external environment, challenge constructively, and translate insights into practical actions that improve organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent readiness and employee experience.

The GBP will work closely with the Global Executive Business Partner (GEBP), Country People Leaders (CPLs), site and functional leadership, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Employee Relations and People Services to ensure global People strategies translate effectively into the local operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic People & Organization Leadership

• Translate business strategy, operating priorities and future capability requirements into a clear, forward-looking people agenda.

• Advise leaders on organization design, workforce strategy, capability building, leadership effectiveness and talent priorities, connecting near-term business requirements with longer-term organizational health.

• Understand the business beyond the People agenda, including operating priorities, organizational dependencies, workforce dynamics and external market factors that may affect talent or execution.

• Anticipate emerging organizational and workforce risks and opportunities, bringing forward recommendations before issues become critical.

• Balance global consistency with local effectiveness, adapting implementation approaches while preserving the intent of enterprise frameworks.

Senior Leader Partnership & Coaching

• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders, bringing an independent point of view grounded in business context, data and organizational insight.

• Coach leaders through complex organization, talent, leadership and workforce decisions.

• Constructively challenge assumptions and help leaders understand the people and organizational implications of business decisions.

• Strengthen leadership effectiveness and accountability, particularly during periods of rapid growth, transformation or uncertainty.

• Build strong relationships deeper into the organization to maintain a direct understanding of business realities and emerging people issues.

Organization & Talent

• Shape organization and workforce plans that build the capabilities required for future business needs.

• Lead succession planning, talent reviews, leadership pipeline development and critical talent interventions.

• Identify organizational capability gaps and mobilize the appropriate development, hiring, movement or succession strategies.

• Enable talent movement and development across organizations, sites and geographies rather than solving talent needs within organizational boundaries alone.

• Partner with leaders to strengthen team effectiveness, leadership capability and organizational health.

Team Member Insights, Culture & Change

• Maintain a strong pulse on the organization through employee listening, leader engagement, workforce data and close connection to operations.

• Connect seemingly separate employee, talent, organizational and business signals to identify underlying themes and emerging risks.

• Help leaders navigate complex change with clarity, empathy and execution discipline, ensuring that decisions are understood and translated effectively through the organization.

• Strengthen leadership capability to communicate context, listen effectively and close the loop on employee feedback.

• Partner with leaders to anticipate how AI will reshape work, roles, skills and workforce needs, translating implications into talent and organization strategies.

• Champion Micron values and foster an inclusive, accountable and high-performing culture.

Data, Insights & Decision Quality

• Using AI to enhance workforce analytics and organizational insights to move leaders from data to diagnosis to action, rather than simply reporting metrics.

• Integrate quantitative data with qualitative signals from leaders, team members and the external environment to develop a holistic view of organizational health.

• Identify trends, challenge assumptions and develop executive-ready insights that support timely leadership decisions.

• Define measurable outcomes for key people priorities and maintain accountability for impact and follow-through.

• Partner across People teams to improve data quality and decision effectiveness where gaps exist.

Enterprise Partnership & Execution

• Connect effectively across GEBP, CPL, site leadership, COEs, Employee Relations, People Services and other partners to deliver integrated solutions.

• Bring the right expertise together around business problems rather than acting as the sole owner of every HR activity.

• Influence global and regional People solutions by bringing forward local business insights and implementation learnings.

• Lead critical People initiatives from diagnosis through execution, ensuring clear ownership, disciplined follow-through and measurable outcomes.

• Simplify and prioritize work to focus HRBP capacity on activities that create the greatest business and organizational value.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• At least 8 to 10 years HR Business Partner experience supporting complex, matrixed and operationally intensive organizations.

• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders on organization, workforce, talent and leadership matters.

• Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to understand operating priorities and translate them into people and organization implications.

• Strong AI fluency, with demonstrated ability to apply AI to improve work, generate insights and support business and people decisions.

• Ability to translate complex issues into concise recommendations and executive-level narratives.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting semiconductor, manufacturing, engineering or other complex technology/operations environments.

• Experience working within a multinational, matrixed organization across multiple countries or sites.

• Experience partnering across global and local HR teams and translating enterprise programs into locally effective solutions.
