What You’ll Do
The Shop Foreman provides technical leadership and day-to-day support to the Long Beach BMW service team. You'll help technicians resolve complex repairs, monitor shop performance and workflow, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to dealership and manufacturer standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide technical guidance and diagnostic support to Service Technicians
• Assist with complex electrical, diagnostic, mechanical, and computer-system concerns
• Help coordinate shop workflow to support productivity and timely vehicle completion
• Monitor repair quality and ensure work meets dealership and manufacturer standards
• Communicate technical diagnoses and repair needs clearly to technicians, Service Advisors, and leadership
• Monitor technician performance and productivity and help address opportunities for improvement
• Support, motivate, and develop the shop team
• Stay current on BMW technical information, procedures, and evolving vehicle technology
• Partner with Service leadership and other departments to resolve operational or guest concerns
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant shop environment
What You’ll Bring
• 5+ years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience
• Strong electrical and advanced diagnostic skills
• Previous supervisory or technical leadership experience
• BMW, European luxury, or franchise dealership experience strongly preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to coach and support experienced technicians
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Working knowledge of dealership management and service systems
Employment Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and valid driver license.

The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.)
