About the Role

The Coordinator, People & Workplace Experience is a foundational role for someone who wants broad exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to learn how a growing business operates from the inside. You'll sit at the center of MEI's employee experience in our NYC office and help build the connective tissue that keeps people connected to one another and to MEI — all while getting direct exposure to executive support, workplace operations, culture and events, and cross-office collaboration.

This is a highly visible, high-touch role that reports into the Director, People & Talent. In this role, you'll be responsible not just for making the day-to-day run exceptionally well, but for anticipating needs, connecting dots, and finding smarter ways to work as MEI grows. It's a strong fit for someone who's equally comfortable executing the details and thinking beyond them — proactive, resourceful, and eager to build a foundation that opens doors to broader responsibilities at MEI over time.

NOTE: This role is be expected to travel on occasion for office and team support.

Culture, Events & Employee Experience

• Help drive culture programming across MEI, partnering with the Tysons-based People Coordinator to adapt programming across offices

• Plan and execute corporate-wide events, including quarterly meetings, company events, leadership offsites, and external office events (e.g., MEI+ lab)

• Support recognition and community experience initiatives that strengthen connection across a distributed team

• Tackle special projects and emerging needs, bringing structure to ambiguous problems and driving work through completion

Executive Support

• Partner with the CEO and other senior stakeholders, including board-level contacts, on scheduling and logistics for high-stakes meetings and leadership convenings

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the CEO, CPO, and CLO, including calendar management, scheduling, travel coordination, and meeting logistics

• Bring sound judgment and discretion to every interaction as a trusted partner to senior leadership

What Will Help You Succeed

(You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive.)

• 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-accountability, cross-functional environment (executive support, people operations, project coordination, events, consulting, or another cross-functional role)

• Exceptional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail; anticipates what needs attention, keeps things from falling through the cracks, and can be trusted with sensitive information

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills; communicates clearly, thoughtfully, and proactively, builds trust across levels and functions, and closes loops without prompting

• Fluent in using AI and modern productivity tools to work smarter; thoughtfully uses technology to research, synthesize information, improve communications, streamline workflows, and automate repetitive work

• Intellectually curious, resourceful, and quick to learn; asks thoughtful questions, seeks to understand "the why," and can take an ambiguous ask and drive it forward

• Thrives in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities; context-switches effectively and moves fluidly between detailed execution and the bigger picture

• Strong interpersonal instincts, reads people well, and takes pride in handling every interaction with care

• Motivated by breadth and growth; energized by learning across functions and taking on new responsibilities over time
